The sculpture is from a series of work by Jam Sutton juxtaposing contemporary culture and historic ideology, utilising modern image making practices and technology to highlight changes and similarities in today’s society. Jam’s digital sculptures were created using latest 3D scanning technology, allowing the replication of human form as a three-dimensional digital file. The data is then 3d printed and cast in Italian Carrara Marble, as homage to the master artists that used the same materials.
