‘Liberty II’ from Collection II/II. Inspired by Eugène Delacroix’s masterpiece ‘La Liberté guidant le peuple’. ‘Liberty’ conveys a message about today’s consumerist society – the uprising of corporations and the empowerment of the consumer through the freedom of purchase. Jam Sutton’s take on the image, which is a combination of digital imagary and photography features consumerist symbolism burried within the rubble and fallen skeletons, as Liberty leads the way, waving a dollar bill flag in a dominating stature.
Collection II/II features artwork inspired by consumerism (fast food, disposable culture); war (Eugène Delacroix’s masterpiece ‘La Liberté guidant le peuple’); and wealth (still life artwork inspired by the 16th and 17th Century art movement ‘Vanitas’, representing the meaninglessness of earthly life and the transient nature of all earthly goods and pursuits).

INFORMATION ON OUR QUALITY
Our clothing is manufactured in Portugal. The cotton we use is of the highest quality Italian Siro cotton. Multiple separate yarns are twisted together binding the surface fibres into the weave, therefore creating a yarn which is strong, smooth and highly resistant to pilling and abrasion from wear. The end result is a soft, silky smooth fabric, creating a perfect surface for digital print. The colours on this fabric are highly resistant to fading from the wash (follow care instructions) and when cared for properly will look new for a long period of time.
